Presidents XI vs Village XI - 2018

There has been a West Farleigh Parish Cricket match in the village for something like 20 years, which, for the last four years has turned into a President’s XI vs Village XI match.

This year’s took place Friday 22 June and much to the crowds delight went right to the wire, with both sides utilising their maximum 20 Overs; final scores were:

-          Village XI, 141 for 8

-          President’s XI, 132 for 8

The Village XI won by 9 runs!

It was a great evening with barbeques catering for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, thanks to Sue, Jacky and Paul for their sterling efforts in keeping the crowds sufficiently sustained! Not forgetting Simon and Helen who ran a superb bar for the evening, and of course all the other unnamed helpers & organisers behind the scenes without who the event would not have taken place.

There was a raffle with numerous prizes organised by the Church, with proceeds from all going towards Church funds.
